Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Faculty and Professional Officers to establish requirements for lab equipment, lab supplies, consumables, project items etc., for procurement
  • Carry out sourcing and procurement activities for the division in support of labs/centres set up, student projects, to include sourcing, establish Invitation to Tender/Quote, raising Purchase Request, liaising with vendor/supplier for supply and delivery of items
  • Liaise with Finance for invoice and payment matters for delivered goods/services
  • Work with team members to set up and operate central store for lab supplies. Tasks include identifying the common supplies, storage and distribution of and timely replenishment/forecast purchase of consumables and items to ensure stock availability
  • Work with team members to operate Inventory Management System (IMS); help ensure information is updated timely and accurately in the system

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing management
  • Prior experience in sourcing and procurement in support of labs would be advantageous
  • Prior experience in central store operation is preferred
  • Have a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, and customer oriented
  • Organised and meticulous with a keen eye for details
  • Able to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
  • Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
