Manager, Laboratory Safety Safety and Health Contract
Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is Singapore’s university of applied learning. SIT offers applied degree programmes which are grouped into five clusters – Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Food Technology, Infocomm Technology, Health and Social Sciences, as well as Design and Specialised Businesses. SIT practises centralised laboratory management, where all laboratories are shared and centrally managed by the Professional Officers Division (POD). The Manager, Laboratory Safety supports Assistant Director, Laboratory Safety in driving a strong safety culture among laboratory users in SIT. The Manager works closely with Professional Officers and Technical Officers to ensure internal laboratory health, safety and environmental processes follow established safety and health regulations, policies, standards, and practices. The Manager will assist Assistant Director, Laboratory Safety in designing and embedding safety measures in laboratories, investigation of accidents and implementation of correction measures on existing facilities and practices to ensure a safe and secure laboratory environment for students and staff.
