The role contributes directly to SIT’s employment placement targets and ensures data integrity for funding and regulatory reporting. It is central to strengthening SIT’s positioning as a career-focused lifelong learning institution.

Key Responsibilities

a. Strategic Career Guidance & Employability Skills Training

  • Conduct career advisory sessions with learners during recruitment to evaluate learner-job compatibility and turn prospects into enrollees.
  • Offer 1:1 and group coaching to aid mid-career learners in career planning, pivoting, and searching.
  • Create and implement employability workshops (e.g., career pivots, career strategy, digital branding).
  • Track learner preparedness and development through systematic evaluations and employment-seeking milestones.

b. Employer Engagement & Job Matching

  • Develop and further strengthen partnerships with industry partners to discover hiring requirements and employment opportunities for learners.
  • Create and update a centralised employer database to match learners by skillset, function, and industry.
  • Organise learner-employer interactions, including career fairs, information sessions, interview days, and industry presentations.
  • Prepare the learners for employment interviews, including mock interview practice and focused coaching on employers' expectations.
  • Monitor the success of placements and post-placement follow-up to enhance hires' sustainability.

c. Programme & Market Development

  • Work with Client Experience and Business Development (BD) teams to align SCTP offerings with evolving job roles.
  • Provide feedback on curriculum development by soliciting feedback from employers and learners to enhance the training's employment suitability and relevance.
  • Co-create Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies with marketing and BD groups to improve outreach effectiveness and acquire learners.
  • Input to learner profile models and segmentation strategies to enhance conversion efficiency and targeting.
  • To collaborate with the Marketing and Insights team to support B2C lead nurturing and conversion to SCTPs.

d. Stakeholder Management and Reporting

  • Be one of the points of interaction with partners, especially SSG, regarding placement reporting, audit, and grant compliance.
  • Keep accurate coaching logs, placement histories, and outcome tracking for regulatory and internal reporting.
  • Drive data-informed reviews of career support outcomes and refine interventions in response to learner and employer input.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in career guidance, adult education, industry outreach, or employment placement.
  • Demonstrated capability to convert learner prospects via advisory or consultative interaction.
  • Robust industry network and familiarity with the local hiring market, specifically for mid-career changes.
  • Proficient in facilitation, employer outreach, and job matching tactics.
  • Proficient in labour market information tools, career frameworks, and profile tools (e.g., MBTI, RIASEC).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; can work with numerous internal and external stakeholders.

We offer a hybrid work arrangement that combines remote and in-person work, subject to work exigencies.
