The Manager reports to the Deputy Director (Innovation and Enterprise) of the Applied Research, Innovation and Enterprise (ARIE) Division.  He/she is responsible for inculcating the innovation culture in SIT and the partners we work with by adopting an innovation framework for innovation projects carried out by faculty, students, community and industry.   He/she is to connect and establish close relationships with industry partners, in particular, local small medium enterprises and Trade Associations and Councils to organize programmes and activities to instill the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the students. He/she is expected to conceptualise strategies and manage projects/programmes that support SIT’s innovation and enterprise drives. He/she will have to engage and manage stakeholders both internal and external to ensure that programme objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and execute strategies to create students’ applied learning opportunities and deepen capability of academic staff while helping local SMEs move up the innovation value chain;
  • Identify and engage industry partners for innovation project collaborations, with intent for industry partners to productise and commercialise the solutions;
  • Work on funding request proposals, incorporating value propositions, operational and business proposals as well as financial projectionsManage project funding, deliverables and legal agreements for industry collaborations;
  • Compile and monitor project progress, outcomes, statistics and KPIs for reporting to stakeholders; 
  • Maintain and strengthen relationship with industry partners; and
  • Execute events and activities organized to foster industry collaborations and promote entrepreneurship.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Business Development, Event Organisation and Project Management
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following areas: Design Thinking, Rapid Prototyping and Entrepreneurship will be an advantage;
  • Understanding of the local government project funding schemes, local SME and startup environment will be preferred;
