The incumbent shall be responsible to coordinate, plan and implement the University’s sustainability strategy, policies and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sustainability priorities and establish goals/KPIs in consultation with management and stakeholders
  • Oversee and monitor portfolio of sustainability initiatives/projects across the organization
  • Drive alignment between sustainability targets and operating metrics
  • Support divisions in driving and executing projects to achieve sustainability targets
  • Provide sustainability advisory and secretariat support to workgroups on related topics and solutions
  • Conduct regular stakeholder engagement meetings to ensure objectives are met
  • Research Environment, Social & Governance (ESG)/sustainability trends and integrate recommendations into corporate objectives, plans, operations and reporting
  • Develop and operationalize sustainability reporting, including data collection and analysis, drafting of plans and initiatives, etc in accordance to and other sustainability reporting requirements
  • Coordinate sustainability outreach programmes
  • Contribute to the development of training resources
  • Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required by Management in the course of work

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications preferably in engineering, physics, economics or other related quantitative fields of studies
  • At least 4 years of experience in areas related to corporate sustainability or similar scope (candidates with more relevant working experience may be considered for senior positions)
  • Experience working within a matrix organization, working with internal stakeholders on sustainability (such as environmental improvements) with the ability to influence change 
  • Experience in reporting standards such as GRI Standards, ESG factors, ISO 14000, etc would be an advantage
