Key Responsibilities

1. Design and teach labs & practice modules.
2. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP).
3. Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry.
4. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research.
5. Ensure safety in labs

Job Requirements

1. A good degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation or Aero System Engineering or a related field with Electronics background. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
2. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in Aerospace and aviation Industry and Aero Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul services would be preferred.
3. Experience in following areas are highly desirable.
• Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of commercial aircraft
• Fleet management and Management of aircraft assets
• Aircraft Avionics system
• Documentation and aircraft worthiness evaluation
• Prevailing industry norms, standards and regulations
4. Advantageous to have experience with flight simulation or piloting an aircraft
5. It is preferred if the candidate is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) or has working experience as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
6. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.
7. Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
8. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.
9. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
