The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking a Success Coach to join the team at an upcoming and exciting training academy.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coaching our in-employment and adult learners pursuing the Competency-based Stackable Micro-credential (CSM) pathway programmes towards accomplishing academic success. The Success Coach will encourage, pace and support the learners throughout their academic journey.  The Success Coach is also expected to provide academic advising, mentoring and career development services, as well as collaborating with faculty and student services to ensure optimal support to our learners at all times.

The Success Coach will report to the Assistant Director of the SIT Teaching and Learning Academy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect with all assigned learners in a timely manner and establish rapport and trust with students to help them complete their program successfully.
  • Work with learners to create a personalised learning plan that will help them set realistic academic goals.
  • Support students to pace and progress in the asynchronous learning environment.
  • Monitor and encourage student’s academic progress.
  • Coach and develop intervention strategies to manage challenges that may hinder the student’s academic success e.g. time management, work-life balance etc.
  • Conduct follow-up with students at regularly scheduled times, document and track communications with students using online tools (e.g.  CRM platform).
  • Respond to student’s enquiries promptly with a personable approach.
  • Work closely with the academic staff team and student services team and serve as the bridge between the groups.
  • Other related responsibilities that will support the objective of the role.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant experience in academic advising, counselling, student services, career coaching/development in higher education sector
  • Familiarity or working experience with adult learners will be preferred.
  • An internationally-recognized credential in coaching will be an added advantage.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively
  • Meticulous with good attention to details
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills.
