Key Responsibilities
- AI Enablement Programmes
- Lead and oversee a range of AI enablement programmes to facilitate the growth of AI skills among SIT undergraduate students and academic staff.
- Develop an AI Competency Roadmap, providing guidance for SIT undergraduate students and academic staff in developing their AI competencies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ensuring the continued relevancy and currency of the AI enablement programmes and AI Competency Roadmap.
- Manage AI-related resources within the division such as the administration of software, hardware systems, and equipment.
- AI Projects
- Drive AI projects within CoDE to support teaching and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with industry partners, faculty, Professional Officers and other stakeholders to conduct applied research in AI related technologies.
- Supervise and mentor students in the development of AI projects.
- Teaching & Student Mentorship
- Develop and deliver digital skills literacy related courses or workshops to undergraduate students and staff. This includes development of learning contents and activities, providing consultations on digital skills/technology related queries, and assessment and grading of students’ work.
- Mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects.
- Any other matters as directed by Director/Deputy Director of CoDE.
Job Requirements
- A good degree in Computer Science or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
- 10+ years of working experience, including at least 5 in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related area.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
- Possess strong supervisory skills and project management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure that the project can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline.
