The central procurement unit sits within the Finance Division and supports the organisation-wide procurement activities by ensuring purchases are made in accordance with the policy and principles of procurement. This role is responsible for carrying out daily procurement operations of the organisation, as well as other ad-hoc projects and duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise requestors on procurement policies, appropriate method of procurement and workflow
  • Review purchase requests on compliance with internal policies and guidelines
  • Review of ITQ documentation, approval requests for contract renewal / variation
  • Manage the full tender administration cycle, including preparation of tender publish, managing tender corrigendum and clarifications, preparation of contract for tender award and post award matters
  • Maintain term contracts database and records management
  • Follow up on Tender and/or ITQ and/or renewal requests to ensure contracts are timely renewed
  • Assist in audit queries and data gathering
  • Assist in ad-hoc assignments as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Degree with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the education or public service sector
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Finance and Material Management modules and e-procurement system will be an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge and application of principles of procurement
  • Meticulous and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
