Assessment Specialist, Academy

The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is looking for an experienced Assessment Specialist who will work closely with the academic staff and subject matter experts (SME) to develop, implement, evaluate and continuously improve competency-based education across various programmes in SIT. The Assessment Specialist will work with faculty and vendors to develop framework, guidelines and policy to recognize prior learning and to determine the mastery of competencies. He/she will need to work with the SME in developing authentic assessments and evaluating the assessments validity and reliability. He/she helps to put the processes in place so that students are properly assessed and meet the competency-based programme learning outcomes. In this role, the Assessment Specialist will be part of the Academy and will report to the Assistant Provost (Applied Learning). The Academy will be building capability in the University to provide competency-based education for adult learners.

This position is part of the Leadership Development Pillar in Student Life Division and contributes to creating a vibrant student life, building upon the division’s core 8 Pillars: Campus Engagement, Counselling, Diversity and Inclusion, Global Citizenship, Leadership Development, Performing Arts, Sports Development, and Student Organisations. These pillars exist to create a holistic educational environment to enrich and empower students, develop their leadership skills and create opportunities to build the community. The Assistant Manager will report directly to the Team Lead overseeing the Leadership Development Pillar in Student Life Division.
