Innohub will launch the Innovation as a Service (IaaS) programme, which provides companies with a single point of access to innovation expertise from SIT, the Polytechnics, ITE, IPI Singapore, and A*STAR SIMTech. The programme focuses on driving innovation in four key areas: Digital Innovation, Innovation for Smart Urban Solution and Security, Service Innovation for Allied Health, Environmental Sustainability Innovation. Each innovation initiative under IaaS will be supported by external grants and project funding.
The Innohub Manager plays a critical role in supporting Heads and Principal Investigators (PIs) by managing grant drawdowns, budgets, and tracking the committed KPIs. In addition, the Manager will serve as the main point of contact for all industry enquiries, directing them to the appropriate IaaS initiative leads, connectors, POLITE COIs, SIT centres, or domain experts within POD.
Key Responsibilities
- Innohub Operation:
- Support the Innohub Head, Innovation Centre Heads, and IaaS Leads with monthly reporting, project tracking, and event coordination.
- Organise the monthly Innohub and IaaS strategy and operations meetings.
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the SIT Innovation Showcase.
- Handle general industry and project enquiries, directing them to the appropriate IaaS initiative leads, connectors, POLITE COIs, SIT centres, or domain experts within POD.
- Grant and Project Management:
- Monitor and track the achievements of Innohub innovation centres, and generate regular reports on project outcomes and centre performance.
- Establish, maintain, and regularly update a repository of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other essential documentation.
- Support the Innohub Head, Innovation Centre Heads, and IaaS Leads in the preparation and submission of grant reports and funding claims.
- Innohub Laboratory and Project Database
- Ensure that all lab users comply with safety protocols, regulations, and standards within the laboratory environment by working closely with the POD Safety Team, Principal Investigators (PIs), and their respective project teams.
- Support PIs in setting up a secure project repository for storing and receiving confidential information from industry partners.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering, ICT, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, A-levels, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including supporting research activities, innovation centres, and managing grants.
- Proven experience in grant management, including preparation of reports and submission of claims to funding agencies.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and document management.
- Experience in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and generating reports.
- Experience in organising events and workshops.
