Role Overview
We are looking for a capable and highly dependable Programme Manager to lead the planning, governance, and delivery of SITLEARN’s AI Training Programmes. The role sits within the SITLEARN Planning Team, which oversees strategic Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes and provides the programme management, governance, and delivery accountability for the initiative.
The Programme Manager will be accountable for the successful execution of strategic AI training programmes across the full lifecycle, including outreach, admissions, onboarding, programme delivery, learner progress, and reporting. The role requires strong programme ownership, sound judgement, and the ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders and to comply with funding and organisational requirements. The Programme Manager will serve as the central operating lead for the programmes, working closely with the SITLEARN supporting teams, academic teams, grantors, industry partners, and internal corporate functions to ensure that programme outcomes are delivered, risks are managed proactively, and issues are escalated and resolved on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivery. Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of the strategic AI training programmes, ensuring that programme milestones, learner outcomes, operational requirements, and delivery timelines are met.
- Grantor and senior management reporting. Manage programme updates and reporting to grantors, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring that progress, risks, issues, deliverables, and required actions are presented clearly, accurately, and on time.
- Governance, compliance, and risk management. Maintain oversight of programme obligations, funding requirements, documentation, approvals, records, and compliance-related processes. Identify programme risks, operational gaps, or compliance issues early, and drive timely interventions or escalations where required.
- Cross-functional project and stakeholder management. Lead and coordinate academic, operational, outreach, compliance, grantor, and partner-facing workstreams to align teams around shared milestones, manage dependencies and risks, resolve issues, and deliver the agreed outcomes.
- Learner journey and programme operations. Oversee key learner-facing processes, including programme communications, onboarding, schedules, platforms, systems, facilities, attendance, learner progress tracking, and administrative support.
- Outreach and learner recruitment. Coordinate outreach and learner recruitment efforts with marketing, admissions, academic leads, industry partners, and other stakeholders, including information sessions, events, lead follow-up, applicant communications, and conversion tracking, to support achievement of programme enrolment targets.
- Financial and resource management. Coordinate programme-related budgeting, billing, claims, procurement, resourcing, and financial tracking in collaboration with finance and relevant internal teams.
- Performance tracking and continuous improvement. Track programme performance indicators, learner progress, stakeholder feedback, operational issues, and delivery outcomes. Recommend improvements to strengthen programme quality, compliance, learner experience, and future runs.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification with at least 4–6 years of relevant experience in programme management, project management, education management, grant-funded programme delivery, or a related field.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional project delivery across multiple internal and external teams, aligning stakeholders, managing dependencies and risks, resolving issues, and driving progress towards agreed outcomes.
- Strong ownership, judgement, and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to identify risks, make recommendations, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Experience preparing progress updates, management reports, project dashboards, or grantor reports.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records, track commitments, and manage multiple deadlines concurrently.
Preferred
- Experience in Continuing Education and Training, higher education, workforce development, or publicly funded training programmes.
- Experience managing programme compliance, grant reporting, claims, audit documentation, or funding-related deliverables.
- Experience supporting applied learning, industry projects, technical training programmes, or AI/digital skills programmes.
- AI fluency e.g. ability to use AI tools to automate project or programme management workflows.
