Job Purpose

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to develop applied research capabilities that are relevant to industry and workforce needs while working on research projects in SIT.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the operational delivery and data management for a national study of digital adult-learning quality and outcomes, including stakeholder and participant coordination, multi-provider data collection, survey and diary administration, data quality assurance and preliminary analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Principal Investigator in day-to-day delivery and completion of all project milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, informed consent, scheduling, communications, reimbursement and retention across pilot and field studies conducted with multiple CET providers.
• Set up and administer research instruments and workflows using platforms such as Qualtrics
• Support stakeholder workshops, Delphi rounds, telephone interviews and provider engagement, including logistics, materials, note-taking, transcription, documentation and follow-up.
• Collect, organise, clean, code, merge and quality-check survey, interview, attendance, LMS/telemetry, implementation, assessment and direct-cost data from multiple sources.
• Maintain secure and accurate participant trackers, data dictionaries, audit trails and study documentation; de-identify data and follow approved data-management, IRB and PDPA procedures.
• Liaise with participants, course teams, partner institutions, vendors and internal administrative units; support procurement, meeting coordination and project administration.
• Work independently and within the project team, assist with supervision of student assistants where relevant, and complete/update project risk assessments in accordance with Work, Safety and Health requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social or behavioural sciences, statistics/data science, business analytics, human-computer interaction, public policy or a related discipline. A relevant Master’s degree and/or research experience will be advantageous.
• Foundational knowledge of quantitative research methods and experience with data collection, data cleaning and research documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple participants, course schedules, providers and follow-up activities accurately.
• Good written and spoken communication and confidence interacting professionally with adult learners and institutional stakeholders.
• Experience with Qualtrics, longitudinal survey/diary studies, interviews, LMS/telemetry data, adult learning/CET or mixed-methods research will be advantageous.
