The Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, AFA plays a key role in recruiting and onboarding international students at SIT. The incumbent will support the outreach and marketing of SIT internationally, and the administration of scholarships for international students.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role will primarily be responsible for the promotion and administration of the ASEAN Scholarships and other scholarships that would help to attract international students of high calibre from the ASEAN region and beyond to SIT, ensuring a smooth administration of these awards, which includes the ongoing tracking and reviewing of the scholarship commitments.
- Work with SIT’s Admissions Outreach and Marketing team to support MOE’s outreach efforts through participating in ‘Study in Singapore’ overseas recruitment trips, and other outreach initiatives which aim to grow the intake of international students, especially from the ASEAN region, and to actively promote SIT, and the Singapore brand of higher education to the region and beyond.
- Work with SIT’s Financial Assistance & Scholarships (FAS) team, ensuring fair allocation of Financial Assistance to deserving international students, adhering to MOE’s guidelines. Avail financial counselling and relevant support services to incoming international students to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience, preferably with experience in administrative duties and customer service support in the education sector.
- Proven track record in handling financial assistance and scholarships will be a plus point.
- Good communication skills (oral/written/public speaking) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency (spoken and written) in multiple languages (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay) will be a plus point.
- Strong commitment to service delivery.
- Meticulous with strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Able to multi-task, keen to learn, and can work well in a dynamic environment.
- Able to lead in project teams and organise events, as well as the ability to work well in teams.
