Job Purpose
The Industry Engagement Manager is responsible for managing and deepening relationships with a portfolio of partner companies for the AI Training Programme. The role ensures the continuity, quality, and value of industry partnerships, acting as the bridge between external partners and internal technical teams. The incumbent will exercise independent judgement in assessing account health, interpreting partner needs, identifying emerging issues, and deciding the appropriate follow-up, routing, or escalation required. The incumbent will also coordinate legal agreements, support marketing and events, and exercise sound judgement in managing partner needs and issues, contributing to the programme’s strategic objectives and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the negotiation and renewal of partnership agreements, ensuring timely execution and compliance with financial terms.
  • Monitor and track partnership-related revenue streams and financial obligations as part of contract management.
  • Identify opportunities for partnership expansion that may contribute to programme revenue growth.    
  • Manage a portfolio of partner companies, ensuring regular engagement and account health.
  • Coordinate legal documentation and maintain accurate records of agreements and renewals.
  • Act as the technical liaison, ensuring partner needs are clearly communicated and routed to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing activities, workshops, and showcase events.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Programme Leader on partner prioritisation, retention risks, and engagement opportunities.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline.
  • Proven relationship or account management experience, ideally managing multiple stakeholders concurrently.
  • Experience managing ambiguous stakeholder requests, prioritising issues, and escalating matters appropriately in a relationship, account management, customer success, technical coordination, or programme environment.
  • Experience coordinating contracts and liaising with legal teams (prior exposure is an advantage).
  • Experience supporting events or marketing activities.
  • Experience managing or supporting Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes.
  •  Prior experience in a client-facing technical role (e.g., solutions, pre-sales, customer success, developer relations, or technical project coordination) is strongly preferred.
  •  Ability to understand and summarise business and technical discussions for both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the CET landscape and industry collaboration models is an advantage.
