Reporting to the Lead IT Consultant, this role plays a key part in ensuring reliable campus-wide AIoT/IoT operations. You will be responsible for the deployment, installation, maintenance, and end-user support of AIoT/IoT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g. campus development, infrastructure and security teams) on new hardware installations, device relocation, and configuration of AIoT hardware devices.
  • Escort and supervise contractors during on-site deployment and installation activites (including after-office hours/weekends), ensuring adherence to construction site safety protocols and deployment plans.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and tagging of all AIoT/IoT hardware assets across sites.
  • Conduct routine hardware inspections, preventive maintenance and deployment verification to ensure proper device placement and accurate system mapping.
  • Manage and monitor devices both remotely and on-site, including resets, and connectivity checks.
  • Implement system configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and software updates to optimise system performance.
  • Provide first-level on-site troubleshooting and support for hardware, AIoT/IoT-related system issues.
  • Support campus-wide event deployments of mobile facial recognition (FR) attendance taking devices and providing on-site technical assistance.
  • Ensure hardware readiness during events and major deployments.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in IT or related disciplines; fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are welcome to apply.
  • Willingness to support after-office hours or weekend installation and deployment activities.
  • Familiarity with AIoT/IoT ecosystems support, including both hardware deployment and software/system configuration.
  • Comfortable working in construction site environments, following on-site safety protocols and coordinating with contractors and internal teams.
  • Ability to read and verify office layouts, workstations and device placements using AutoCAD.
  • Hands-on experience in deployment and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and problem-solving mindset.
