Manager / Senior Manager, Estates - Campus Development

The Manager / Senior Manager, Estates - Campus Development reports to the Project Director, Estates-Campus Development and is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the development and management of building services for SIT's campuses, buildings and facilities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for ACMV, fire protection systems and vertical transportation systems including fit outs, infrastructure, addition and alteration works which encompass conducting feasibility studies, budgeting, project programming, design review and quality assurance.

 

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and consultants on design specifications, space programme, cost and work schedule.

 

  • Develop project briefs/schedules, manage, review and implement workplace changes, monitor quality, cost and deadlines.

 

  • Manage tender calling, evaluation and award of contracts.

 

  • Ensure compliance with regulations on all building, fire, safety and health matters.

 

  • Monitor and report on the progress of construction/fitting-out works.

 

  • Carries out regular quality checks on construction works and works with internal and external stakeholders on the building defect lists prior to handover of SIT buildings.

 

  • Manage execution of direct contracts.

 

  • Coordinate with stakeholders on the schedule to move into completed premises.

 

  • Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required by Management in the course of work.

 

  • Complete projects undertaken within time and cost.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant working experience in building consultancy and/or project management.

 

  • Good knowledge of building development, regulations, laws and procedures.

 

  • Good knowledge of ACMV, building management system, plumbing and sanitary, vertical transportation and fire protection systems.

 

  • Good knowledge of BCA Green Mark and energy efficiency practices.

 

  • Strong in organisational, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

  • Technically competent in Microsoft Project and Computer Aided Design software programmes.
