We are launching a skills assessment centre to enhance sector-specific assessments and support Singapore’s goal of a skills-based workforce. As the operational backbone of the assessment center, we are looking for a resourceful and organised Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions that keep our systems running efficiently and effectively.

 

This role is central to ensuring smooth delivery of assessment services and strong coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be highly organised, systems-savvy, and capable of managing logistics, operations, and people in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with the continuing education and training (CET) sector would be a distinct advantage. An understanding of adult learning ecosystems, upskilling initiatives, and industry trends will enable the Operations Manager to contribute valuable insights and support the assessment centre's mission to advance lifelong learning in Singapore.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all administrative functions, including office operations, procurement, and documentation.
  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, and venue arrangements for assessment activities and training events.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and procurement policies.
  • Support the Director and team leads in planning and executing operational workflows.
  • Liaise with SIT’s central services and external vendors to support IT, finance, HR, and facilities needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessment activities, participant data, contracts, and stakeholder correspondence.
  • Coordinate internal communications and support stakeholder engagement logistics.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient, scalable processes as the assessment centre grows.

 

Requirements

  • Proficient in skills related to business administration, operations management or education support.
  • At least 8 years of relevant administrative or operations experience, preferably in education, training, or public sector settings.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with attention to detail and timelines.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, vendor management, and internal reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital workflow tools (e.g. SharePoint, Trello, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven team.
