The Senior Manager (Policy) leads the HR Policies Centre of Excellence (CoE) function in SIT, overseeing the development, implementation and management of HR Policies. This role acts as a primary advisor on HR policy-related matters, ensuring that all HR policies are aligned with SIT’s mission and are compliant with legal regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR Policies Centre of Excellence (CoE) in setting the strategic direction for policy development, approval and governance.
  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and lead the review, development and updates of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency, relevance and compliance.
  • Monitor emerging HR trends, employment legislation, and HR best practices to recommend policy review and enhancements to address gaps and future needs.
  • Ensure all HR policies comply with local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and align with industry best practices.
  • Provide policy advice and guidance to senior management and HR colleagues and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organisation.  
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all policies and related procedures with proper version control to track and record policy reviews and changes.
  • Manage HR policy information platforms to ensure staff have easy access to accurate and updated policies.
  • Facilitate the communication and implementation of HR Policies to build awareness, understanding and adoption of policies changes.

 

Job Requirements

  • Recognised degree, preferably in Business Administration, HR Management or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in HR policy development, review, or governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws, regulations, HR market practices.
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment across functions.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's higher education landscape will be an advantage.
