The Manager, Outreach and Marketing supports SIT’s student recruitment and enrolment goals through the planning and delivery of outreach, marketing and engagement initiatives aimed at attracting and engaging prospective students who are a good fit for the University. Reporting to the Head of Outreach and Marketing, the incumbent will co-lead the planning and delivery of outreach and marketing initiatives, working closely with team members and internal stakeholders to implement local and international student recruitment activities and support the achievement of recruitment objectives.
The role encompasses both local and international student recruitment, including building relationships with educational institutions, representing SIT at recruitment events and education fairs, and enhancing SIT’s profile among prospective students, parents and educators. The incumbent will also support broader admissions and financial aid operations during the admissions cycle, including application processing and applicant engagement. Overseas travel is a key component of the role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Recruitment and Outreach
- Support the development and implementation of local and international recruitment and outreach plans aligned with the University’s enrolment objectives.
- Plan and deliver recruitment and engagement activities, including SIT Open House, learning journeys, education fairs, admissions talks and outreach programmes.
- Develop and implement student engagement and yield-enhancement initiatives.
- Represent SIT at local and international outreach activities, effectively communicating the University’s programmes and value proposition to prospective students, parents and educators.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, educational institutions and other stakeholders to support student recruitment and strengthen SIT’s presence.
- Support international student recruitment and partnership development, including overseas travel where required.
- Track outreach activities and outcomes and provide recommendations to improve future recruitment efforts.
2. Marketing and Communications
- Support the planning and execution of marketing and communications initiatives to attract and engage prospective students.
- Develop, review and coordinate recruitment content, collateral and communications across relevant platforms and channels.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies, including creative, media and production partners, on marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Oversee and coordinate content creation activities, including photography, videography, student stories and multimedia productions.
- Monitor emerging trends in higher education marketing, digital engagement and youth communications to enhance recruitment effectiveness.
3. Admissions and Financial Aid Operations
- Support admissions, financial aid and scholarship activities during peak periods.
- Undertake application processing, respond to applicant enquiries and support other operational requirements in accordance with University policies and procedures.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve systems, processes and applicant touchpoints to enhance operational efficiency and applicant experience.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support recruitment and enrolment objectives.
- Coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups to ensure the smooth delivery of outreach, engagement and marketing initiatives.
- Represent SIT professionally at public engagements, presentations and recruitment events, both locally and internationally.
- Uphold SIT's service standards and contribute to positive stakeholder experiences across all recruitment and applicant touchpoints.
5. Project and Operational Management
- Manage assigned outreach, recruitment and marketing projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets and deliverables are met.
- Contribute to team planning, process improvements and the development of new engagement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional initiatives across the Admissions and Financial Aid Division.
- Guide junior team members or project teams where required.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- A recognised degree from a reputable university.
- At least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in outreach, marketing and communications, events or a related field.
- Experience in developing and delivering recruitment, outreach or marketing initiatives, preferably within the education sector.
- Good project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with confidence in engaging diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with creative agencies and coordinating photography, videography and multimedia productions will be advantageous.
- Experience in an international or cross-cultural environment is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to SIT's international recruitment markets will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
