The Manager, Office of the Provost supports the Provost and Academic Group leadership in planning, coordinating, and implementing university-wide academic and strategic initiatives. The role ensures policy coherence, effective governance, and smooth execution of Continuing Education & Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) priorities, within the strategic and regulatory framework of SIT, to advance academic excellence and institutional effectiveness. Responsbilities as follows. 

 

Academic Strategy & Initiatives

  • Lead and support development and implementation of key academic strategies across CET and PET. E.g. sustainability, competency-based education, academic transformation).
  • Conduct scanning of national policy directions (e.g. CET, lifelong learning, skills-based education), as well as international higher education and applied learning trends, and thereby translating insights into policy briefs or strategic recommendations.

 

Policy & Governance

  • Review, develop, and improve academic and administrative policies, processes, and systems

 

Programme Operations Support.

  • Support curriculum and programme reviews, quality assurance, market scanning, and coordination with clusters and stakeholders

 

Committee & Secretariat Support

  • Provide secretariat support to key committees, including documentation and follow-up
  • Others e.g Communication & Reporting, manage information-sharing platforms, prepare institutional academic reports etc

 

Job Requirements

  • Recognised university degree.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management, policy and process review, and management reporting.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s higher education landscape is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent writing, documentation and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under tight timelines
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable with managing dynamic and evolving priorities
