This position supports the Advancement Office work in deepening and widening philanthropic support and stakeholder engagement to further SIT’s vision and mission, primarily through developing and managing targeted communications and marketing projects. This role will be critical in helping the Advancement Office achieve its goals by effectively communicating the value and impact of the university’s programmes and initiatives to a wide range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing integrated marketing and communication strategies to promote the university’s fundraising efforts, alumni relations, and overall advancement initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in crafting compelling messages, creating high-quality content, and driving engagement with key university stakeholders, including alumni, donors, prospective donors, faculty, staff, and students.
- Develop, write, and edit a variety of content, such as newsletters, annual reports, brochures, and email campaigns, including designing creative and compelling proposals, as well as visually effective presentations.
- Work with the Advancement team to create engaging stories that highlight the impact of donations and stakeholder involvement. Maintain the university’s advancement website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with corporate branding guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team to develop marketing strategies and campaigns to support advancement initiatives.
- Project management: Coordinate and oversee workflow of projects by ensuring timely preparation, production and delivery of projects; work with design houses to produce newsletters, brochures, reports and other related collaterals as needed.
- Develop and implement communications plans and marketing strategies for stakeholder and donor engagement by leveraging multichannel solutions and messaging.
- Work with various institutional stakeholders where needed to implement Advancement communication strategies and plans.
Job Requirements
- Possess a good university degree in communications or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Good writing, PowerPoint and project management skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- A passion for higher education, fundraising, and community engagement is highly desirable. A professional background or training in graphic/ web design/ presentation software will be a plus
