Reporting to the Deputy Director (PRS), the Assistant Director/Senior Manager will be part of the team to drive the conceptualisation, implementation and the communication of the university’s strategic plans and major initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning (Long-term and annual planning) process.
- Support senior management to drive and coordinate implementation of strategic initiatives across the university.
- Generate regular reports for senior management, board of trustees or other external stakeholders on the strategic initiatives of the university.
- Develop, review and communicate new/revised policies, frameworks and processes as part of organizational excellence.
- Draft proposals and papers and prepare presentations for senior management to be tabled at various reporting platforms such as Board meetings and MOE meetings.
- Work with the Enterprise Risk Manager to provide input to enterprise risk reviews.
- Provide secretariat support for key senior management committees and oversight meetings.
- Lead project teams to organise key university events (e.g., Board Retreats, Minister’s visits).
Requirements
- Good University Degree.
- Proven track record with at least 10 years’ experience in strategic planning, policy development and formulation.
- Prior experience and understanding of education industry and Singapore government policy-making would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong ability to develop and manage working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-driven and proactive, as well as a positive attitude to innovate and comfortable with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
