This position plays a key role in supporting the university's annual fundraising efforts by co-driving the Annual Giving initiatives that target alumni, graduating students, faculty & staff and friends.
Reporting to the team lead of Annual Giving, this role involves managing outreach and communications plans, developing targeted donor acquisition and retention plans, and supporting the team in enhancing donor relationships to increase engagement and support for the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team in managing assigned Annual Giving initiatives such as Class Giving, Alumni Giving and Faculty & Staff Giving (e.g., email/direct mail, social media effort and volunteer management).
- Identify potential donor segments and develop targeted plans to drive donor participation, retention and giving.
- Collaborate with inter-divisional teams, including Advancement and other internal stakeholders to create giving content, distribute solicitation materials, update campaign portals and implement fundraising initiatives.
- Organise and execute fundraising events and donor recognition activities, such as roadshows, fundraising projects, and donor appreciation events.
- Monitor assigned project timeline and provide reports on project performance and progress.
- Work with Advancement Operations team on data reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong potential are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in annual giving, fundraising, marketing communications or related functions, ideally within the higher education or nonprofit sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and preferably with experience using donor database software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud, or similar)
- A background or strong interest in graphic design (and related software), along with the ability to handle and interpret data, is a plus.
