The Manager (Campus Connection) plays a strategic role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive, and connected campus culture at SIT. He/She will lead and implement key initiatives that build student belonging, facilitate student voice, and foster intercultural understanding. Reporting to the Team Lead (Campus Connection), this position contributes significantly to the holistic SITizen journey, including the First Year Experience, Yearbook, and the SITizen Experience Survey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Communication:
- Lead the SITizen Experience Survey and derive insights to inform university-wide improvements.
- Coordinate focus group discussions to encourage constructive conversations relevant to the improvements.
- Coordinate student representation in decision-making processes at institutional levels.
- Monitor and analyse student experience surveys to identify trends, concerns, and areas for improvement.
- Student Connection and Identity:
- Spearhead digital content creation with the Campus Connection team to amplify student stories and enhance campus communications.
- Coordinate communications to SITizens, including announcements, marketing collaterals, and weekly e-newsletters.
- Support the design, production, and publicity of the annual Yearbook.
- Student Integration:
- Lead the design and implementation of signature intercultural programmes (e.g., CEP Racial Harmony Day, Deepavali, Chinese New Year) that promote cross-cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) Taskforce and external cultural/community partners.
- Student Development & Collaboration:
- Mentor students in collaborative projects, developing their potential and creating opportunities to encourage personal development, and guide them in building meaningful relationships amongst peers and multiple partners within SIT and the community.
- Strategic and Operational Management:
- Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and review of the Campus Connection workplan.
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and resource management for key pillar projects.
- Work cross-functionally with other OSE teams and university stakeholders to deliver seamless student experiences.
- Other Duties:
- Participate in university-wide taskforces.
- Execute ad hoc projects assigned by Director of Office of SITizen Experience.
Requirements:
- Degree from a good University with at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position in student affairs, campus engagement, or related areas, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing student engagement programmes and initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student populations.
- Meticulous and organised, with a keen attention to detail.
- Agile, able to multitask and work independently within a tight timeline.
- Empathetic, willing-to-learn attitude with the ability to think “out of the box”.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools.
- Familiarity with survey design and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve division and university goals.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of office hours and on an ad-hoc basis.
