2. Media optimization by Design-of-Experiment and statistical analysis.

Assistant Manager, Centre for Digital Enablement (E-Learning & Media Creator)
The Centre for Digital Enablement (CoDE) drives initiatives within SIT. The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.
Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry.
In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT.

As a specialist in naval architecture/hydrodynamist/structure engineer, the successful candidate will work on this cutting-edge projects related to coastal protection and develop a robust and effect floating breakwater system via design interaction that involves hydrodynamics, structural analysis, stability and fluid structure interaction. SIT invites applications for the position of Program Director as part of the Future Ship
and System Design (FSSD) R&D program. FSSD R&D program is a multi-project
research programme with the focus on maritime decarbonization and is funded by
Singapore Maritime Institute. The program involves close partnership with Maritime Port
Authority (MPA) of Singapore. The research projects have diverse industry, research
institutes and academic collaborators from Singapore and Overseas. The projects are
categorized into 3 capability areas: 1) Ship and System Design for Sustainability 2)
Intelligent Ship and Operations and 3) Charging Infrastructure & Onshore Microgrid.
The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to manage the research program
and to assist the Lead Principal Investigator and the three Capability Area (CA) Leads in
scientific, technical, and administrative matters. The PD will support R&D activities in
Maritime Decarbonization and lead activities such as demonstration, and deployment of
innovative solutions arising from the projects under the FSSD program.
The PD will serve as a point-of-contact working closely with the individual research
project teams and with the external stakeholders and funding agency. The responsibility
include facilitating and supporting research & joint development agreements such as

About the project:
Difficulties in swallowing or chewing affect millions worldwide, especially amongst the elderly. We have recently been awarded a research project to develop transitional foods which can make a positive impact on the quality of life for those with swallowing difficulties. The project includes two new research positions that will work closely together with each other and with the multidisciplinary team of project investigators. We invite outstanding and talented candidates who are passionate about foods and have a strong desire to develop or enhance their R&D competencies to apply for these positions.
The primary role of this position is in the area of sensory characterization, food product formulation and production, oral processing characterization and conduct of surveys. The position requires a strong background in food chemistry, food product development, colloidal science, sensory science as well as survey research.
