Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position will assist the Division in implementing SIT’s strategy for fostering excellent alumni relations. Working closely with the team, he/she will help develop alumni engagement initiatives, SIT Alumni Mentoring Programme as well as plan and implement alumni programmes and activities to increase the depth and diversity of SIT’s relationships with its alumni community while turning alumni into lifelong advocates. Collaborating closely with the team, the successful candidate will work towards maximising the interest of future alumni, alumni and donors in further advancing SIT’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and organise alumni events, which include but are not limited to: Alumni Network events, Movie Nights, alumni development and Alumni Reunion activities.
  • To manage and plan engaging events at the alumni lounge.
  • To ensure the development and effective implementation of the Alumni Outreach team Strategy with day-to-day operational responsibility for planning and delivering all alumni relations communications.
  • To be prepared to meet face to face with notable, influential or prominent alumni, encouraging them to participate in alumni events or making the initial approach to cultivate support, volunteerism and giving.
  • Develop and plan a pre-alumni strategic to engage student before they graduate.
  • To work collaboratively across the Advancement & Alumni Team in the management of events and workshops
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other divisions on programmes that engage alumni through multiple channels such as academic programmes and events.
  • Develops, sustains and strengthens alumni groups.
  • Assist in conceptualising and developing effective marketing and publicity collaterals in consultation with team members.
  • Maintain and update records of forthcoming events and track alumni attendance at events.
  • Manage alumni benefit and services with other adminstative duties.
  • Conduct post-event surveys; analyse results and make recommendations for improvement for future events.
  • Perform other duties and manage projects as required by the Division to futher SIT’s Advancement & Alumni work.

Job Requirements

  • A recognised degree
  • Experiences in organsing events and relationship management, preferably in an institution of higher learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in developing and cultivating relationships
  • Dynamic team player, positive mindset, active listener, and able to provide constructive feedback
  • Possess good planning, organisation and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently under tight deadlines, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good administrator
  • Knowledge of and adept at using technology, social media and database tools
  • Strong database management skills and ability to produce detailed reports
  • Willingness to work outside office hours as required

The successful candidate will be offered an initial 1-year contract with a view to renewal.
