The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop a first-of-its kind AI-assisted integrated NDT verification system for reusability of structural steel with accuracy of ±10% at confidence level of 95%. The key innovation is to use AI to analyse a bigger data set and build a multi-parameter machine learning (ML) model that integrate the complex mechanical properties obtained from DT and the electric/magnetic permeability data obtained from NDT to predict the critical material characteristics of reusable steels.

Manager, Lab Safety

At SIT's Professional Officers Division (POD), we bring our rich industry experience and technical skills into the workplace to create a conducive environment where applied learning and innovation take place. Reporting to the Team Lead of Lab Safety, the incumbent will support the Division in maintaining an operationally safe and healthy environment for all lab users. POD currently manages 108 teaching laboratories. The incumbent will support the development of the Lab Safety culture within POD and amongst lab users as there is need to establish an effective Lab Safety & Health Management system. He/she will also support the Division in developing and implementing standards beyond regulatory compliances. In addition to the baseload of Lab Safety Officers, the incumbent would also be involved in developing lab safety training content for online learning as well as developing effective communication channels to engage staff in Safety & Health.

Candidate should have some understanding of quantum computing and cyber security. Prior experience in implementing quantum obfuscation techniques is an added advantage.
